To the Editor:
A few weeks ago, Connie and I were eating in the Olive Garden in Bellingham, Washington. When the waiter learned we were from Tennessee, he proudly said, “This is the home town of Jake Locker.”
A few days later, and about 120 miles to the east in the restored western town of Winthrop, Washington, a shop worker learned that we were from Tennessee. He proudly said, “Jake Locker is from near here.”
Well, I got to thinking: If the folks in Washington state think that much of Jake Locker, then we need to consider him welcome to Tennessee.
I think its time for me to cheer for Jake Locker.
