To The Editor,
The recent events in the city of San Francisco bring to mind many conversations that I have had with friends and family. Many have said that they don’t want to get involved in politics, if the citizens of San Fran had been (as well as our Federal Gov) involved in removing the Sanctuary status of the city then the illegal alien would not have been released to walk freely among American citizens to kill this lovely young woman Kate Steinle from the many wonderful things that she could have achieved in her life.
Are we waiting for this to happen to our children, homes and community? Please remember that a few determined people can bring remarkable changes to the laws that govern our lives.
Keep in mind that our President or any of his staff have not responded to the family of this murdered lady’s family or made any statement to the nation. In past situations the President has contacted family to express his sympathy and support, and these were made before any evidence had proved that the victims were innocent or guilty. Why the silence now? Should not all citizens be treated equally?
We must as a society understand who we are voting for!!! Look at how they voted in the past, what they say now compared to what they have said before. Votes should not be made on political party, gender, race, charming personality, religion or any other factor that does not represent that they are decent informed people and dedicated to the American Constitution .
