SCAreadersSpeakOutTo the Editor:

I respond to David Harris as follows:

Margaret Verran requires no defense from you. She deserved defense from me. I consider none of these comments attacks by any of us but rather needed fun in the arena of appreciated opinion. And thanks to the paper for the allowance.

Now concerning ignorance: There are two types and since you used scripture, I shall also:

1. Willing ignorance: The main willing ignorance that strangles the population of today and is the main characteristic of these last days is the denial of the worldwide Noah and as stated from 2 Peter 3:5-6: “For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.”

I am not guilty of that ignorance. It is willing ignorance because of the overwhelming evidence of that event. We walk on that evidence every day and the established powers fosters bigotry with the state religion of evolution that demands silence of any other presentation in the public arena.

I am not willingly ignorant.

Perhaps Mr. Harris puts me in the second class of ignorance. I admit that I need to learn everyday and surely he does too.

Mr. Harris quoted Isaiah 1:18 partially. Let’s look at the whole verse: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Thus, the reasoning together is between God who provides the remedy for sin and between any individual human who need that remedy and all do.

Perhaps another verse could be used for man’s relationship to his fellow neighbors: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” Romans 12:18

I believe both Mr. Harris and me want that. We are neighbors right here in this community…well almost…he is of Kingston Springs and I am of East Bell Town.
