Dear Editor,
What in the world is going on in Washington? They must be spiking the cool aid.
Why are we exchanging 5 very violent murderers to go back and plot against the US? The next time we see them after their release will be some horrible incident that involves the death of many Americans.
Now Cuba is rearing their ugly head, they want to exchange 1 American for 3 Cubans.
What happened to the rule that we don’t negotiate with terrorists.
Apparently Susan Rice has been interviewed again and stated that Bergdalh served his country with great distinction. ( Is that what you call sneaking off in the middle of the night?) I guess they forgot to give Ms Rice the real info that she needed. I think she should have figured out that she would get in trouble any time the White House told her what to say.
There appears to be strong evidence that Sgt. Bergdalh went AWOL. He left a note saying how dissatisfied with the US military and the way the government is conducting the war. This incident has been investigated and whomever has this report has decided not to release this information.
Every day this strong nation is looking weaker and weaker. We the people need to let our voices be heard. We do have elections coming up. I’m beginning to think Yogie Berra had the right idea when he said “throw all dem bums out.”
I think our President has not discovered that making nice with these radicals is futile. They have no desire to make peace, only war against others that don’t share the same views as they do.
I am not saying that all Muslims are bad people, because that is untrue, they are like all people everywhere there are some good, some bad and some just plain old evil, but they do need to stand up against the violent groups that are taking over their countries.
And what about the soldier being held in Mexico? If our President would get behind his release it would be a done deal, but he has no interest in helping this young ex Marine.
What’s with the punishing of our military? What would this country be without them? They are due all the respect that we can give them. I never see a soldier that I fail to go up to him/her and say thanks for their service, and if we are in a restaurant we buy their meal. It is a small token of our esteem for them. Try it sometime you’ll feel great, but more importantly they will feel a moment of our appreciation.
