scaTo the editor:
I read Congress Person Jim Cooper’s news release which applauds same sex marriage. Mr. Cooper, you and the court stepped into the area of theology and furthered the state religion of secular humanism which defines the state as final authority.

I quote The Creator from Mark 10:6-9, “But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

The state religion and its public text books teach that life came from some substance out of the sea and therefore being neither male or female but it…maybe. Male and female slowly evolved. So goes the lie.

That’s the state religion. Is it not?

Matthew 19:4 adds, “Have ye not read”

Christ also said, “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

Mr. Cooper, you probably came to a crossroads years ago. If so, I ask that you visit it again. You can’t really travel both roads. None of us can. Neither do those of us who desire to keep THE BOOK polished from use desire to mistreat or belittle or insult.

Those Christians who think we can have both views need to read Thomas Huxley from LIGHTS OF THE CHURCH AND SCIENCE. Huxley, nicknamed Darwin’s Bulldog and atheistic, made some great points and I would quote it but for word count restraint.

I expect attacks from some. I ask two things: Explore THE BOOK and especially the verses quoted from this letter. Christ said, “Have ye not read…”
